When it comes to securing publicity for your product or service, timing can be everything.  Sara Madrinich of Adventure is Barking, a Hopkins, Minnesota-based dog training business, contacted RMA Publicity in late February 2024 seeking PR for a planned expansion of her business.

We developed a pitch for the media that got the interest of every single major news outlet in town.  KSTP and WCCO and KARE TV all came to check out Adventure is Barking's new Exploring Tails Camp setup the week before the March 4, 2024, grand opening.

A few days after the business started welcoming customers, Shayne Wells from FOX 9 Minneapolis went live from Adventure is Barking’s “Exploring Tails Camp." The morning of March 12, 2024, she was live in the 6 a.m., 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. shows. Stories also aired at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. The business got an amazing 17 minutes and 44 seconds of airtime on FOX 9.

A few days later, the story, "Owner of Hopkins doggie day care shares tips for helping pups learn good manners" by reporter Katy Read publishes in the March 16 edition of the Star Tribune's Inspired section. The story appeared on both the front and back pages of the Variety section of the paper.

“Exploring Tails Camp” is a cutting-edge dog daycare and boarding facility that redefines the standard for canine care. Catering to the needs of furry companions, this new establishment combines Adventure is Barking’s Montessori-based daycare for dogs, "Tail-Tessori," with exceptional boarding services, providing a haven for dogs seeking both mental stimulation and cozy comforts.

"I hired Rachel/RMA publicity to help get the word out about an expansion for our dog services business. I had written a basic press release but was feeling defeated when it came to getting it to local media outlets.  I reached out to Rachel with relatively short notice and she went to work right away.  She was able to line up all of the major local news stations to come out to our new facility! Additionally, one of these stations did extensive interviews and live shoots with us that aired for a whole day.  Finally, she lined up one of our areas largest newspaper publications to do a story on us which resulted in a front and back cover on a weekend publication. The service I got from Rachel, the coverage she lined up and the business she was able to help us generate far exceeded my expectations.  It is most definitely worth it to hire Rachel to help take the publicity for your business to the next level."

RMA Publicity secured nine media placements in October 2021 for Minnesota-based The Waters Senior Living.  On October 20, the day of the ceremonial groundbreaking for The Waters' newest community, The Waters of Pewaukee in Wisconsin, WITI TV - FOX Milwaukee aired a story,  and a story was published by Construction Review Online.

Earlier in the month, preview stories about the ceremonial groundbreaking event were publisherd in The Milwaukee Biz Times (Oct. 18),  The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel (Oct. 16) and Senior Living News (Oct. 18).
Three other The Waters communities were also in the headlines in October. Both WCCO TV and KSTP TV captured the fun and excitement for residents of The Waters of Oakdale on Oct. 25 when the Backyard Buddies came to the community as part of their Senior Smiles program. The Backyard Buddies is a working farm that brings sheep, cows, goats, ducks and other farm animals out into the community.

The Eden Prairie edition of the Sun Sailor newspaper published a story about The Waters of Eden Prairie's recent classic car show in the Oct. 14 edition of the paper.  Also on Oct. 14, the Excelsior edition of the MN Sun Sailor published a story about The Waters of Excelsior's recent success with fundraising for the annual Walk for Alzheimer's.

While working on a book about her uncle's amazing World War II survival story, Barbara Wojcik learned she was suffering from a terminal cancer. She and her family turned to RMA Publicity in 2021 to make Barbara's dream of sharing her story on WGN TV in Chicago come true.  That's just one of the many media placements we were able to secure.

Barbara and her husband and co-author, Jim Wojcik, also appeared on  WCCO Television in Minneapolis, and they wwre interviewed for stories in  The Pioneer Press,  The White Bear Press and  The Chicago Sun Times newspapers.

Barbara and Jim's book, Bud's Jacket, is the true story of a Chicago airman who was shot down over France during World War II, and fortunately with the help of many  ordinary citizens in France was able to find his way home. Barbara Wojcik is Bud's niece. She and her husband wrote the story using a box of momentos left behind by her uncle after he died.
In addition to the successful media campaign, RMA Publicity also helped set up a book event during which more than 100 copies of the book were sold.

A lot of self-published books sell well when they first come out, only to have sales go flat a few months later. That has not been the case for Cooked to Death: Volume II - Lying on a Plate.  With the help of RMA Publicity, a full year after its release, the book was still in the spotlight.

National tour number three for the book's editor, Rhonda Gilliland, took place in 2019 and brought her to Madison, Wisc. (Mystery to Me), Ann Arbor, Mich., (Crazy Wisdom Bookstore), Indianapolis, Ind. (Indy Reads Books), Spartanburg, S.C. (Hub City Bookshop & Press), Atlanta, Ga., (Tall Tales Book Shop), St. Petersburg, Fla. (Bouchercon), and St. Louis, Mo. (Dunaway Books).

The book's first tour took place in Fall 2017 at locations in Minnesota. The second tour happened in Spring 2018 and involved stops in North Dakota, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Iowa and Nebraska.

In addition, shortly after the book's Oct. 2017 release, RMA Publicity secured a mention in the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Articles have also apppeared in the hometown newspapers of several of the authors of the foodie anthology (Enterprise, Mankato Free Press, Union Times).

A cancer diagnosis is a difficult thing to process. Suddenly, you are faced with decisions you never thought you’d have to make. Perhaps the scariest of them all for parents with young children: how to break the news to their kids.
After the release of Mama's Knight: A Cancer Story Of Love in Oct. 2016, Minnesota author Aurora Whittet came to RMA Publicity for help getting the word out about her new book. Media placements include KARE-TV (NBC) , WCCO-TV (CBS) , The West Central Tribune  and the MN Sun Sailor.
